Fall Protection

The Fall Protection tile manages fall hazard assessments and documentation for at-height work — replacing paper-based processes with a searchable, auditable log.

How it works

Admins create fall protection events for specific sites or tasks. A safety assessment is completed for each event, and the system auto-classifies the hazard level based on the responses. All records are stored and auditable.

Completing an assessment (Users)

  1. Open Specialty SafetyFall Protection
  2. Open the event for your work location
  3. Complete the assessment form:
    • Is at-height work occurring?
    • Is a fall arrest system present?
    • Are barriers or guardrails in place?
    • Other site-specific questions
  4. The system auto-classifies the outcome:
    • No Fall Hazard — work can proceed without fall protection
    • Work Permitted — fall protection controls are in place and adequate
    • Work Not Permitted — hazard identified, controls insufficient
  5. Upload any supporting photos
  6. Submit

Admin view

Admins manage fall protection events from the Specialty Safety admin panel:

  • Create events for sites or tasks
  • Assign trained personnel to roles (competent person, supervisor, etc.)
  • View assessment outcomes and submitted records
  • Track training status and certification uploads for assigned roles
  • Export records for regulatory submissions

WARNING

Fall protection records in OneSiteKit are documentation tools. Always follow your jurisdiction's regulatory requirements for fall protection.
