Radios

Radios are managed through the Tools tile alongside fuel keys, CAS units, and tools.

Signing out a radio

  1. Open the Tools tile from the portal
  2. Scan the radio's QR code label, or browse the available list
  3. Tap Sign Out — the radio is logged to you with a timestamp

Requesting a return

Returning a radio goes through admin approval:

  1. Find your radio in the signed-out list
  2. Tap Request Return
  3. The radio enters Return Requested status
  4. An admin approves or rejects from Pending Approvals
  5. On approval the radio returns to Available

You can cancel a pending return request before it is actioned.

Handoffs

If another crew member needs to take over your radio:

  1. The receiving user scans the radio's QR code
  2. Taps Request Handoff
  3. You receive a notification to approve or decline
  4. On approval the radio transfers instantly — no return and re-sign-out needed

Reporting an issue

Tap Report Issue from the radio detail to flag damage or a malfunction. The report is sent to admins and logged against the asset's history.

Admin view

Admins manage the full radio inventory from the Asset Database tile:

  • View all radios — current holder, model, owned vs. rental status
  • Approve or reject pending return requests
  • Add, edit, and archive radio records
  • Bulk import via CSV
  • Print QR code label sheets
  • View complete sign-out history per radio
